Our primary export is a rare rock known as Honeycomb Calcite, also known as Amber Onyx or “The Happy Rock.” Utah is the only place in the world where it can be found. Even though it was only recently discovered, the rock is nearly 150-200 million years old! It has a honeycomb-like structure, and its color can range from yellow or gold to deep amber, giving it the appearance of honey. This unique color comes from the Sulphur deposits in the surrounding area. As light is shown through the stone, it gives off a beautiful translucent glow. It’s perfect for cutting, carving, polishing or any other use of decorative stone.
